Medical Entrance Exams are conducted on an All India Basis as well as at the State Level to provide admissions to various Medical Colleges. Some national level institutes also conduct their own entrance exams. The Medical Council of India is responsible for medical education in India. Most of the Government Medical Colleges provide admissions only to Indian Nationals on the basis of All India Medical Entrance exam. However, there are NRI/Foreign student quotas in few Government Medical Colleges to provide admissions to NRIs and foreign students.
Eligibility:
Applicants with 10+2/ equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology or Pre Medical or B.Sc background can appear for the medical entrance exam.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)

conducts the national level MBBS entrance exam for admission to first year full time MBBS program. It also conducts B.Sc (Hons) Para Medical, Nursing and Post Certificate programs for admission to Bachelor of Nursing program in various disciplines for the commencing session 2015-13. The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam will be conducted on Friday, June 01, 2015 while AIIMS B.Sc (Hons.) Para-Medical entrance exam will be held on Sunday, June 03, 2015.All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhiwas established in 1956 and also the institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate  Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.
Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS B.Sc (Hons) 2015
Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University. Those who have done 10+1 on or before 1986 will also be eligible to apply. 
Obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and midwifery and be an 'A' Grade nurse, registered with State Nurses Registration Council. In case of male nurse, he should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and, instead of training in Midwifery, training in any tow subjects out of the following: (a)Venereal Disease Nursing, (b) Tuberculosis Nursing, (c) Ophthaimic Nursing, (d)Psychiatry Nursing, (e)Operation Theatre Techniques for a period of three months in each. He should be an 'A' Grade nurse registered with the State Nurses Registration Council.
  Worked for a minimum period of three years as a staff nurse in recognized hospital or as a Public Health Nurse, after obtaining the above mentioned certificates.
Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS MBBS 2015:
10+2 or equivalent with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) in English, Physics Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission and above.
Paper Pattern for AIIMS B.Sc (Hons) Paramedical 2015
The paper comprises of 4 parts of multiple choice questions of a total duration of 2 hours.
Paper is divided into 4 parts namely; Part A consisting of Physics questions (30 marks), Part B of Chemistry questions (30 marks), Part C of Biology questions (30 marks) and Part D of General Knowledge (10 marks).
There will be a negative marking where 1 mark will be awarded for each correct response and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
If a question is marked with multiple answers, it will be taken as a wrong answer and marks will be deducted for it.
Paper Pattern for AIIMS MBBS 2015
AIIMS MBBS Medical entrance exam comprises of objective type questions.
Paper is divided into 4 parts namely; Physics section consisting of 60 questions, Chemistry comprising of 60 questions, Biology (Botany and Zoology) - 60 questions and General Knowledge- 20 questions.
  The exam will be of 3 hours 30 minutes duration without any break.
  In total there will be 200 questions.
  There will be negative marking system where 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer while 1/3 marks will be reduced for each incorrect response.
 
How to Apply for AIIMS B.Sc (Hons) exam 2015

The completed application form should be delivered personally or sent in the enclosed cover superscribed "B.Sc. Nursing(Post certificate ) Entrance Examination " to the Assitant  Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-11 0029 by Speed Post/Registered Post. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.
How to Apply for AIIMS MBBS exam 2015
The Prospectus-cum-application fee is Rs. 1000/- for general category candidates (Rs 800/- in case of SC/ST candidates).
Candidates can apply online by filling in the online application made available on AIIMS’s official website: www.aiimsexams.org. Candidates can pay the application fee through a challan form (downloaded from the internet while applying online) in any branch of State Bank of India.
Candidates can also obtain the application form along with the information bulletin by speed post/registered post by sending a crossed bank draft for Rs.1050/- (For General OBC / OBC candidates) and Rs.850/- (For SC/ST candidates) drawn in favor of the Accounts Officer (Exams), AIIMS-MBBS payable at New Delhi.Therequest must reach the Assistant Controller of Examinations, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi -110 608 on or before the last date.

All Indian Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental (AIPMT) is a medical entrance exam which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. AIPMT 2015 is a medical entrance exam for those candidates who aspire to join the medical field. This entrance exam is compulsory if a student wishes to obtain a degree such as MBBS and BDS.
This entrance examination is being conducted exclusively for the 15% merit positions for the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directive of the court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from time to time.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing merit list to the DGHS as per their instructions. The counseling for successful candidates is conducted by the DGHS. During counseling, the eligibility criteria, various documents, etc. of the candidate is verified and Medical/Dental College is allotted to the candidate according to the choice.
AIPMT 2015 Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate should be 17 years of age at the time of admission or should have completed the required age limit on or before 31st December, 2011.
The candidate should be an Indian national.

Final Examination:
(Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination).

The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

Armed Force Medical College (AFMC) MBBS Entrance Exam is a national level entrance exam conducted by Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. Armed Forces Medical College is a premier medical institute of India, was established in 1948 for post graduate courses. A graduate wing for MBBS course was started in AFMC on 04 Aug 1962 with the aim of inducting medical graduates to the Armed Forces Medical Services.
To get entry in AFMC, Pune one must have compulsorily appear for AFMC MBBS Entrance Test. Every year AFMC is being conducted in the month of May at various centers. AFMC 2015 comprises of 2 stages viz, written examination and interview. AFMC 2015 written examination will be conducted at 55 centers across India.
Eligibility Criteria for AFMC MBBS 2015
Applicants must have passed the XII standard/pre-professional/premedical examination or equivalent examination of statutory Indian University/Board or any other recognized Board/University as a regular student in all the subjects opted for in first attempt with the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 60% of aggregate marks in the three science subjects taken together, not less than 50% marks in each of the science subjects and not less than 50% marks in English. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics at least of the matriculation standard.

Application Procedure for AFMC MBBS 2015:

Prospectus and application form for AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2015 will be available ONLY online, from 06 February 2015 onwards. Candidates will have to login to the website of AFMC www.afmc.nic.in and click on the link AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2015 which will lead to the webpage containing the application process. Candidates should read the instructions/guidelines contained in the webpage carefully before applying.
Candidates applying for AFMC MBBS Entrance Examination 2015 should have a valid e-mail id which is mandatory. All candidates should register themselves on the website by clicking on the “New Applicant Click here to Register” icon. You will have to fill up the relevant details and register. An e-mail with a temporary password will be generated and sent to the registered e-mail id. On first login a new password will have to be created by the candidate.
Following successful registration, the candidate can now apply for AFMC MBBS Entrance examination – 2015, using his registered e-mail id and the new changed password as LOGIN ID and PASSWORD.
On logging in to the account a unique registration id will be generated. All candidates will write down and keep this number safely since this will be used for all future correspondence. The candidate will have to fill the mandatory fields marked (*) in the application form.
Candidates will also have to download and print the Bank challan form. This form will be printed with the unique registration number. Candidates will have to make the payment of ` 280/-(Two Hundred and Eighty only (Application fee + Bank charges)) at any State Bank of India branch across the country.
Paper Pattern for AFMC MBBS 2015:
AFMC 2015 is 2 hours duration single level entrance examination. Entire test paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions, divided into 4 sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Intelligence, Logic and Reasoning and English language and Comprehension. Every correct response for the question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response of candidates.

Banaras Hindu University holds an All India Competitive Written Test for taking admission into medical programs offered by Institute of Medical Sciences. Institute of Medical Sciences conducts BHU-PMT (Banaras Hindu University Pre-Medical Entrance Exam (BHU-PMT) entrance exam for taking admission into MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B.Pharm programs. For MBBS/BDS/BAMS:A minimum of 50% marks for general and 45% for general-PC candidates and 40% marks for OBC/SC/ST and respective PC candidates.
For B.Pharm: A minimum of 60% marks for general / OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates.

Paper Pattern for BHU-PMT 2015
BHU-PMT entrance exam is a 2 stage examination namely BHU-PMT screening exam and BHU-PMT Main exam. Candidates who are willing to pursue medical programs such as MBBS or BDS at IMS-BHU must have to appear for the BHU-PMT entrance exam. Merit list will be prepared based on the BHU-PMT screening test for both BAMS and B.Pharm programs.
BHU-PMT Screening –
The BHU-PMT screening test will have a single question paper consisting of 200 objective type questions.
Each correct answer will carry 2 marks.
For each incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.
There will be 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology with a maximum of 100 marks for each subject.
BHU-PMT Main –
There will be a single question paper consisting of 200 objective type questions.
The medium of the paper will be in English.
Each correct answer will carry 2 marks.
1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The Question paper will be divided into 2 sections namely Section ‘A’ and Section ‘B’.
Section A:
This section consists of 100 questions and the questions are divided into 4 groups namely Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
Each group carries 25 questions.
This section will carry multiple choice questions with 4 options and only 1 option will have the correct answer.
Section B:
This section consists of 100 questions and the questions are divided into 4 groups namely Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.

The exam AICEE is for category Medicine and Healthcare and is conducted at Medicine and Healthcare level
All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE) is conducted by the Veterinary Council of India, for admission to first year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) & Animal Husbandry (AH) degree course.
The duration of BVSc & AH degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

SC/ST Eligibility : To be eligible for appearing in All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE) examination, the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 40% for SC/ST candidates marks in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The CETK or KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is an entrance test, which is mandatory to get admission for under graduate professional courses viz., Medical, Dental, Indian System of Medicine & Homeopathy and Engineering / Technologyprograms offered by Government, Aided, Private Un-aided Minority / Non-minority institutions of Karnataka state. Only the candidates seeking admission for architecture program compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). Every year Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will hold the responsibility of conducting CETK. This year CETK will be conducted in the month of May 2015 at various centers.


Eligibility Criteria for CETK 2015
For admission into engineering courses through CET, candidates must appear for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects.
For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture.
For admission into medical courses through CET, candidates must appear for objective type tests in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

Application Procedure for CETK 2015
Information Brochure and Application form will be supplied through the schools/colleges located within the State of Karnataka where the students are studying 2nd PUC or 12th standard examination upon submission of Demand Draft for Rs 650/- to the Principals in advance, drawn in favor of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore and Rs 500/- for students who belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribes and category – 1.
Repeaters and ex-students who have passed the qualifying examination within the State of Karnataka before 2015 should also submit the demand draft for the above said amount to the respective schools / colleges.
The last date for submission of demand draft to the Principal of Schools and Colleges within Karnataka will be March 09, 2015.

Paper Pattern for CETK 2015
CET Karnataka Entrance Test comprises of 4 papers namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. There will be an option of attending Mathematics or Biology paper, which is depended on the choice made by candidates. Each question paper comprises of 60 objective type questions. The maximum time limit given for answering each paper is 70 minutes.

CETK 2015 Important Dates


UPCPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test) is the state level entrance test conducted by Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU), Lucknow on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The UPCPMT is being conducted every year for admission to various medical and dental courses such as MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS offered by various government recognized/approved dental/medical/homeopathic/ayurvedic/unani colleges of Uttar Pradesh. The entrance exam UPCPMT will be held in the month of June.
There are around 41 medical/dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh offering various courses at different levels for various disciplines. Admission to medical/dental under graduate courses offered by these institutes is strictly made through the UPCPMT entrance test merit score.

Eligibility Criteria for UPCPMT 2015

Candidates who are willing to take up the entrance test UPCPMT 2015 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria as per the MDI norms-
The higher secondary examination or the Indian school certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher secondary examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the national council of educational research & training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the national committee on education.
Age limit:Candidate must be 17 years of age in the year in which he / she want to appear in Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) 2015.

How to Apply for UPCPMT 2015
Candidates who are willing to opt for UPCPMT 2015 can get the application form individually from major branches of Allahabad Bank in Uttar Pradesh by paying Rs. 1050 (including counseling charges) with Rs. 30 (Bank Charges) for general/ OBC category and Rs. 550 (including counseling charges)  with Rs. 30 (Bank Charges) for (SC/ST) category.

The duly filled application is to be submitted by the registered/speed post placed in the envelop without folding, to the “Chairman, C.P.M.T.-2015, CSM Medical University, U.P., Lucknow-226 003 U.P. “on or before May 12, 2015.
The OMR sheet is to be filled with utmost care with dark blue or black Ball Point Pen. (Do not use Felt/Sketch pen). There should not be any overwriting or cutting.

Paper Pattern for UPCPMT 2015
 
The UPCPMT entrance exam will consist of two papers.
The paper 1 will consist of a total 100 objective type question from Botany and Zoology. Each section contains 50 objective type questions.
The paper 2 will consist of a total 100 objective type question from Physics and Chemistry. Each section contains 50 objective type questions.
The UPCPMT entrance test follows the syllabus of 10+2 or HSC pattern followed by most boards across India.

JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) is the common entrance test being conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry. The institute offers a number of medical and paramedical courses. Candidates who are willing to take admission into the medical courses offered by the JIPMER needs to take up the national level entrance exam “JIPMER”. JIPMER is the competitive entrance test for admission into the medical courses offered by the pioneered institute JIPMER which is based in Puducherry.

Candidates who are interested to take up JIPMER entrance exam can apply only through on-line access.

JIPMER Paper Pattern
For UG courses, JIPMER entrance test consist of 200 objective type questions and the test duration is 150 minutes. The questions will be from the subjects such as English, Biology (Zoology and Botany), Physics and Chemistry.
For PG Courses, the entrance examination will be of the standard of MBBS examination. Question paper consists of two parts such as
Part I - Basic Clinical Sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.
Part II - Clinical Sciences including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis and Radio-therapy.
There shall be only one paper of three hours duration consisting of 250 multiple choice questions in which 100 question from Part I and 150 from Part II.

Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test (UPCAT 2015) is conducted by association of private medical and dental colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The exam is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery courses (BDS) offered by private medical and dental colleges. UPCAT is approved by the Government of India for providing admission to the candidates from all over the India. All the colleges providing this BDS course under this entrance test are also approved by Government of India and are recognized by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria for UPCAT 2015:

Candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS program.
Candidate should have successfully completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology
The candidate should have scored not less than 50% in the qualifying examination.
How to Apply for UPCAT 2015:

Paper Pattern for UPCAT 2015:
The entrance examination will comprise of an objective type examination of 180 minutes duration containing 200 questions of 200 marks.
There will be 50 questions each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany.
The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10+2 examination (ICSE / CBSE / U.P. Board or equivalent).
The question paper will be given in English only.
The candidate is required to answer 200 MCQs in 3 hours.
Each question shall carry equal marks. All questions will be objective type with Multiple (1, 2, 3, 4) choice of which, only one will be the appropriate response and therefore the correct choice.
Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. Zero marks shall be given to no response.
There will be no negative marking for incorrect answer or more than one choice indicated against a question.

Application forms can be accessed only online through the Christian Medical College website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in The downloaded form duly filled should be submitted by post with a basic administrative fee of Rs.750/- and registration fee of Rs. 600 per course. Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send a Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries, US dollars 100 or its equivalent as administrative fee in addition to the registration fee per course.

Paper Pattern for CMC Vellore Common Entrance Exam 2015
1. The written test will be of 2 types:
a)  A GENERAL paper consisting of multiple choice questions drawn from all subjects taught in the undergraduate medical course.
b)  A SPECIAL paper consisting of multiple choice questions in the specialty for which the candidate has applied and subjects allied to it e.g., the paper for E.N.T. may include questions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, etc., with respect to the ear, nose and throat.
Note –
1. i. A candidate may write a general paper for all his/her choices (a maximum of 4 courses in 2 subjects)
OR
ii. They may write a General paper for selection to a course in one subject and write a Special paper for selection to the second course.
2. Candidates will not be permitted to write two Special papers.
3. Candidates are NOT permitted to write both the General paper and the Special paper for selection to two courses of the SAME SPECIALTY.
The duration of the General and Special papers are 3 hours each (225 questions). All candidates who wish to take the written test are required to be in their assigned seats at the time, date and place stipulated on the Hall ticket. No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall after 30 minutes of the stipulated examination commencement time.
Those who cannot take the examination on a Saturday for religious reasons (eg. SDAs) should apply separately to the Registrar for special arrangements to take the examination. This special arrangement however will only be available at Vellore.

Paper Pattern
For Comedk UGET, the test paper consist of four section Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
Physics and Chemistry is the combined paper which will be compulsory for all the candidates who appearing for Comedk UGET. There will be a total of 120 objective type questions 60 questions from each subject. The test duration for combined paper is 120 minutes and is compulsory for all candidates seeking admissions to M.B.B.S., BDS and B.E courses.
Mathematics is the compulsory subject for the candidates who are willing to take admission into B.E. and Biology is the compulsory subject for the candidates who are willing to take admission into MBBS/BDS. The test consists of 60 questions from each with duration of 60 minutes. Candidates are free to choose any one or both the subjects.
For Comedk PGET common entrance test, the test scheme will be one separate test for PG Medical and one separate test for PG Dental Courses. Each test will have 180 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ). The time allotted for the test would be 180 minutes.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) is a premier engineering entrance exam which is conducted by Government of Maharashtra every year. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) is held for those candidates who want to take admission into Technology, Health sciences, Pharmacy and Engineering programs offered at undergraduate level in government/government aided and private colleges across the state of Maharashtra.
MHT-CET 2015 Eligibility Criteria
  Candidates who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (Std. XII) or its equivalent examination during the academic year 2011-12 and whose Resultsare not declared till the last date of submission of application form are eligible to appear for MHT-CET-2015, however for admission to first year of degree course in pharmacy, such candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  Maharashtra State candidates and OMS candidates are eligible to appear for the MHT-CET- 2015conducted by the Competent Authority of Government of Maharashtra for the academic year 2015–2015.
MHT-CET Paper Pattern:
The MHT-CET is a single-stage entrance exam divided into 3 papers. Each paper is of 100 marks and the duration for the papers is one and half hour. The paper consists of different subjects, comprising of questions from physics, chemistry, botany, zoology and mathematics.
  Paper I: -It has a total of 100 marks and the paper consists of physics and chemistry.
  Paper II: -It has a total of 100 marks and the paper consists of botany and zoology.

  Aspiring candidates are required to fill in the online application form and take the printout.

  The cost of the application form along with the three information brochures of MHT-CET 2015and examination fee is Rs.700/- for general category and all outside Maharashtra candidates and Rs 500/- for reserve category candidates (belonging to Maharashtra State Only). This amount is not refundable.
  The candidates from Outside Maharashtra (OMS) can purchase application form and Information brochure(s) of MHT-CET 2015 from any Divisional Authority office as mentioned in Annexure-A by submitting Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- drawn in favor of “Competent Authority, MH-CET, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai, drawn on any Scheduled Commercial Bank.

All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) is conducted by Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University, Vadodara for taking admission into graduates courses offered at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University and its constituent colleges. The  constituent colleges are SBKS Medical Institute & Research Centre which is recognized by the Medical Council of India for MBBS program, K.M. How to Apply for AICET 2015
A candidate who desire to appear for All India common Entrance Test will require submitting an application in the prescribed form along with attested copies of the documents in support of application. The application will also be available online. While submitting the application it should be with all necessary documents along with DD of Rs. 650/- in favor of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, Vadodara as the cost of an application form. The entrance test fee is Rs.1500/-. The fee is payable by cash or demand draft, drawn in favor of “Sumandeep Vidyapeeth” of nationalized/schedule bank, payable at Vadodara. The candidate should write his/her name and address on the back side of the demand draft.
The last date of receipt of completed application form along with requisite documents and entrance test fee at the office of Register, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Piparia upto 5.00 pm on 17/05/2015 (with late fee of Rs.500/-) up to on 21/05/2015. Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical Entrance Examination (KEAM) is a gateway for professional courses which are being conducted by government and private institutions in the state of Kerala. Every year Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical entrance examination is conducted by Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations (CEE). The CEE is conducting thirteen distinct entrance examinations for admission to professional courses every year.
